Non-Laser Services and Treatments
Dr. Shel offers a wide variety of non-laser aesthetic services such as microdermabrasion and chemical peels, as well as dermaplaning. We are one of the only clinics in the Houston area who provides the dermaplaning service.
Coolsculpting is an FDA cleared treatment that permanently removes fat from areas of that are resistant to diet and exercise. Coolsculpting typically takes only 1 treatment to see up to a 30% reduction in the fat layer and does not requires anesthesia, surgery or downtime and the results improve over 2-3 months’ time.
Microdermabrasion is used to gently lift away dead skin cells which can build up on the surface of the skin and result in dry dull skin. It is most commonly used on the face but can also provide excellent results when treating the neck, chest and hands.
Dermaplaning is ideal for all patients of all skin types. It can be done on any area of the face or body but is most commonly performed on the face to gently lift away dead skin cells, removed fine hairs and leave your skin youthful and glowing. It is recommended prior to many laser procedures.
Chemical peels are used to treat a variety of skin concerns such as: acne, dull dry skin, hyper-pigmentation, and prematurely aging skin. They are safely used on any area of the body but most often times are used primarily on the face, neck, chest, and back to safely reveal healthier more vibrant skin in all skin types of varying ages.
